At St. Vincent we are committed to providing holistic care that sustains and improves your health. Skilled nursing including wound care assessment, supervising medication dosing, administration of injections and other physician orders is coordinated with physical and occupational therapies, medical social services, and speech therapy.Telehealth services are provided to help monitor patients with chronic illness. For cancer patients that may include cardiac, blood pressure, COPD and diabetic complications. A Medical Alert – Personal Emergency Response device is available to keep you connected when an emergency happens and as a way to notify caregivers.St. Vincent Home Care also can arrange for durable medical equipment.

1-1 consultation is available and is coordinated through a referral by your oncology physician. A Registered Oncology Dietitian is available at the St. Vincent Cancer Center on the Indianapolis campus, Harcourt Rd. This six-week smoking cessation program led by nurses and pharmacists use behavioral health counseling and medication, plus the nationally recognized “Beat the Pack” curriculum. Click here to learn more.

Women’s Health Boutique – (317) 582-8080
Located at the St. Vincent Carmel Hospital on the first floor of the Women’s Center, the Women’s Health Boutique is staffed by certified mastectomy fitters to help women find the right bra, breast prostheses and post-surgical garments. For all cancer survivors there are also compression therapy products and garments, as well as wigs and head coverings and many inspirational cancer survivorship items. Many of these items are durable medical goods and are covered by insurance. An online shop is available and items can be shipped to your home. Our private dressing rooms during the fitter consultation always respects your needs and supports each person’s emotional survivorship journey.

Bereavement Services (317) 338-4008
St. Vincent Hospice Team provides bereavement counseling for family and friends seeking to journey toward wholeness and health again after the loss of a loved one. Several support options (groups, remembrance teas, Mind-Body-Spirit workshops, Music Therapy and newsletters) are offered with true understanding and compassion for how to cope with grief and related stress.

St. Vincent Hospice team uses music therapy, aromatherapy, relaxation techniques, and encounters with TheraPets to help these patients control their pain and acute symptoms. Bereavement counseling and many types of support are available to family and friends. This group of Caring associates seek to bridge the isolation a patient may be experiencing and touch the human spirit in profound ways, to bring hope, purpose and a connection to others.

Pastoral Care – For a Chaplain call (317) 338-2238
 The St. Vincent Pastoral Team takes prayer requests online. Chaplains are available to our patients and families, and chapels are located in all of the Hospitals. Once a month a Spirituality Support Group is led by a chaplain at the Cancer Care Center on Harcourt Road.

Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis (317) 415-8500
This long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is for adults with complex, serious illnesses that require intense, special treatment for long periods of time. Many onsite therapies are available: physical, occupational, speech, respiratory and animal-assisted therapy. Our hospital provides onsite 24-hour physician/medical provider services and specialized nursing care. These LTACH Services are reimbursed by commercial health payers and Medicare Part A.
