On April 27, St.Vincent Health and the St.Vincent Foundation will host the sixth annual Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent Celebration of Caring Gala at the FedEx Aircraft Hangar, 2459 Aviation Drive.
Dignitaries and corporate sponsors will attend the premier fundraising gala, while Peyton and Ashley Manning will serve as the honorary chairpersons. This year, Luke Bryan – American Country Awards winner – will be the entertainment for the children's hospital fundraising event.
Bryan's latest album, tailgates & tanlines, produced three back-to-back platinum singles, became a top 10 album in 2012, and sold 7 million tracks. In addition, Billboard named tailgates & tanlines the No.2 Country Album, the No.3 Country Artist Album of 2012, and claimed Bryan as the No.3 Top Country Artist of the Year.
The awards ceremony will include a Most Valuable Player award given to a community leader who has been an advocate for children's health in Indiana, and a True Hero award honoring a patient family and a department of the children's hospital.
Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent has grown to more than 300 pediatric specialists, 46 inpatient beds, 15 beds in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and 17 private rooms in the Hilbert Pediatric Emergency Department. The array of pediatric specialists and clinical staff at the comprehensive children's hospital provide the highest quality of care in emergency medicine, cancer and blood diseases, general surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, pulmonology, otolaryngology, rehabilitation, endocrinology and neurology.
