Dr. Prystowsky received his medical degree from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He did his residency training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, and his fellowship training in cardiology and clinical electrophysiology was at Duke University Medical Center. From 1979 to 1986, Dr. Prystowsky was a full-time faculty member at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he was director of the electrophysiology laboratory. In 1986, he returned to Duke University as Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiac Arrhythmia Center. Dr. Prystowsky is currently Director, Clinical Electrophysiology Laboratory at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana and Consulting Professor of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. He has co-authored two textbooks, Cardiac Arrhythmias: An Integrated Approach for the Clinician and Clinical Electrophysiology Review with Dr. George Klein. He has authored over 700 publications concerning cardiac arrhythmias. Past Chairman of the American Heart Association’s Committee on Electrocardiography and Electro-physiology and a former member of the Executive Committee for the Council on Clinical Cardiology, he is Past President of Heart Rhythm Society (NASPE) and a member of the Heart Rhythm Society (NASPE) Board of Trustees. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology and is on the editorial board of 16 journals, including Circulation. Dr. Prystowsky directs the Cardiovascular and Clinical Cardiology Electrophysiology Fellowship Programs at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. Eric N.
