Dr. Curt WardCurt R Ward, MD MBA

Program Director
Hometown: Brookston, IN
Undergrad: Purdue University - BS
Graduate: Purdue University - MBA
Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine - MD

Dr. Ward joined the faculty in January 2003 following six years of private practice in Columbus, Indiana. In Columbus, he was a member of a large group of family physicians who practiced the full spectrum of family medicine including inpatient, nursing home and obstetric care. During his tenure at Columbus Regional Hospital, Dr. Ward served as his practice's medical director for two years and as the Chief of the Department of Family Medicine.

Dr. Ward enjoys the broad range of patient care opportunities within the field of family medicine. He performs obstetric ultrasounds, treadmills, and colposcopies; and supervises obstetric deliveries, adult inpatient medicine, and outpatient procedures. Caring for the underserved and international medicine are also interests of his. He spent a month at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya and was a volunteer staff at Volunteers in Medicine in Columbus.

Additionally Dr. Ward serves as the Physician Formation Leader for St Vincent Health.  In this role he supports multiple programs that are vital for physicians connecting with their calling and purpose in medicine; including the Physician Outreach Network, Doc2Doc - a physician to physician mentoring program, and the annual Physician Spirituality Summit.

Dr. Ward is a musician wanna-be, so instead, he produces worship services at his church, and there gets to work closely with his wife, Kristy, whose day job is as an emergency physician, but on weekends lead worship at their church. They have two children, Jack and Kate.

Hometown: Upland, Indiana
Undergraduate: Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL
Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine
Other Training/Fellowship: Primary Care Faculty Development Fellowship, Michigan State University

Dr. Roth knew a good place when she found one, so after having completed four years of the IM/FM residency at St Vincent, she jumped at the chance to stay on as faculty. She graduated and joined in 2007 as the first IM/FM faculty. She loves opportunities to teach residents and medical students in the hospital and the office as well as take care of her own patients in her private practice. She is active in the Family Medicine Clinic as well as the Adult Inpatient Medicine Service. She is a valued member of both Family Medicine Residency Program Faculty and Internal Medicine Program Faculty and is a leader for this unique combined program. She is the director of the Hospitalist Area of Concentration for FM and IM/FM.

She grew up in Upland, Indiana and studied sociology and anthropology at Wheaton College in Illinois. She spent 6-months in Peru, South America for an internship. She grew to appreciate the importance of healthcare in people's lives through that experience and was drawn to medicine. She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and then came to St Vincent as one of the pioneering residents in the early stages of the IM/FM program.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband (who is a radiologist at Indiana University), and daughter; kayaking and learning how to do home improvement projects.
