Call Schedules:

With the recent institution of a night float rotation, residents no longer take call during the week (those hours are covered by the two residents on the night float rotation). Recent changes to the ACGME duty hours require that interns take only 12-hour shifts during weekends; upper level residents continue to take 24-hour calls in an effort to maintain continuity of patient care.

On average, residents take 1-2 weekend call shifts per month.
