Tips for Searching on the Clinicaltrials.gov Site

To help you search the clinical trials database for studies currently recruiting participants at St.Vincent, here are some basic guidelines:

Click on Advanced Search located just beneath the search box on the home page of www.clinicaltrials.gov.  This will take you to a form to complete for a more specific search. Not all fields need to be completed for a successful search.

In the first section, choose "Recruiting" from the drop down menu in the field titled Recruitment.

Under the second section titled Targeted Search, enter the diagnosis or condition for which you are seeking treatment in the field titled Conditions.

Under the section titled Locations, choose United States, Indiana at the first drop-down menu for the field State 1.  Further down, in the field Location Terms, enter St.Vincent.

In the section titled Additional Criteria, you may enter relevant information such as gender or age or, you may leave all fields blank.

Once you hit "Search", you will find a list of studies. Clicking on a particular study will reveal much more information. Each study will have a section, found by scrolling down, called Contacts and Locations.  You may need to click on the link to show all study locations where you can confirm St.Vincent's participation in the study.
