Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Orthopedic therapy involves care for joints and soft tissues, such as muscles, ligaments, and tendons. We provide therapy after surgeries, such as rotator cuff repairs or joint replacements. We also provide care for joint and muscular pain after injury, or simply due to wear-and-tear.
Conditions
Conditions that could benefit from orthopedic therapy include:
- Neck pain
- Whiplash
- Shoulder pain
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Lower back pain
- Knee pain
- Ankle pain
- Plantar fasciitis
Treatments
Orthopedic therapy’s focus is to increase strength in weak muscles and improve flexibility and range of motion in tight muscles and joints. Therapy typically involves performing an individualized exercise program designed to address your physical limitations. We also use a variety of adjuncts to therapy aimed at reducing pain. Such treatments include:
- Applying specialized tape to align structures in the body
- Soft tissue mobilization using patented tools to reduce scar tissue and fibrosis
- Custom fitting for orthotics to reduce foot pain
- Electrical stimulation
- Deep heating modalities
