William Finkelmeier

William R. Finkelmeier, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Board certified vascular surgery

William R. Finkelmeier, MD, vascular surgeon with CorVasc MD’s and VeinSolutions, a member of St.Vincent Medical Group, has been in practice since 1989.

Dr. Finkelmeier received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.  He is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, where he also completed his surgery internship, general surgery residency, surgical oncology fellowship and vascular surgery fellowship.

Dr. Finkelmeier is board certified in vascular surgery by The American Board of General and Vascular Surgery.  He is the medical director of VeinSolutions and he has trained numerous vascular and cardiovascular surgeons throughout the country in venous procedures. 

Dr. Finkelmeier’s medical interests include the treatment of varicose and spider veins, and treatment of vascular facial irregularities, such as port wine stains, hemangiomas, and rosacea.  He is a member of the American Venous Forum, The American Board of General and Vascular Surgery, and the Midwest Vascular Surgical Society.  Dr. Finkelmeier has been a guest lecturer at several national medical conferences and symposiums throughout the country.  He has been frequently published in peer review journals and has written book chapters in his medical specialty.

Dr. Finkelmeier enjoys sports and spending time with his wife and children.


Randy Irwin

Randy J. Irwin, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Board certified vascular surgery

Randy J. Irwin, M.D., vascular surgeon with CorVasc MD’s and VeinSolutions, a member of St.Vincent Medical Group has been in practice since 2000.  Dr. Irwin earned his biomedical engineering degree from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.  After receiving his medical degree at The Ohio State University, College of Medicine, Columbus, he completed his general surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City.  Dr. Irwin completed his medical education with a vascular surgery fellowship from The Ohio State University, College of Medicine.

Dr. Irwin is board certified in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  Dr. Irwin’s medical interests include varicose veins, aneurysm surgery, and research trials, especially in the fields of gene therapy and stem cell angiogenesis.   Dr. Irwin is a member of the VeinSolutions group of vascular specialists treating varicose and spider veins at St.Vincent Carmel Hospital.  He is also the medical director of the CorVasc vascular ultrasound laboratory.

Dr. Irwin’s professional memberships include the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Irwin has been frequently published in peer review journals in his medical specialty.  He has also been involved in numerous clinical research trials throughout his medical career.

In tune with the importance of exercise for a healthy body, Dr. Irwin enjoys swimming, biking and running.  He has competed in several marathons, cycling events, and triathlons, including the Ironman Triathlon.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and family.


Richard Chitwood

Richard W. Chitwood, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Board certified vascular surgery

Dr. Chitwood, vascular surgeon for CorVasc MD’s, a member of St.Vincent Medical Group, has been in practice since 1996.
Dr. Chitwood earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Ball State University, graduating magna cum laude. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, and he completed  his general surgery internship and residency at St. Joseph Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI.  He completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit.

Dr. Chitwood is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery with added qualifications in vascular surgery from the American College of Surgeons.    Dr. Chitwood is also part of the VeinSolutions group of vascular specialists treating varicose and spider veins.  Dr. Chitwood is also seeing patients in need of vascular care in Anderson, IN, as part of the St.Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

Dr. Chitwood’s professional memberships include the American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Association, Indianapolis Medical Society and the Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society.

In his free time, Dr. Chitwood enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family. 


Joel Feldman

A. Joel Feldman, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Feldman has been in practice since 1980. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire in 1970. He completed his general surgery residency in 1979, and followed a year later with a fellowship in vascular surgery, both from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Feldman is board-certified by The American Board of General and Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Feldman and his wife enjoy boating and snow skiing as well as spending time with their children.
