Our Physicians
Brenda Cacucci, M.D.
An Indiana native, Dr. Cacucci is a graduate of Michigan State University and Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Cacucci completed her general surgery residency at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Cacucci performs bariatric surgery using laparoscopic methods.
David Diaz, M.D., F.A.C.S.
A Florida native, Dr. Diaz is a graduate of the University of Miami and the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Diaz completed his general surgery residency at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1987. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Diaz began his bariatric training during his residency and is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. He specializes in laparoscopic bariatric procedures at the St.Vincent program.
Christopher Evanson, M.D.
A Minnesota native, Dr. Evanson is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Bio-Medical Engineering. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Evanson began his bariatric training during his residency, and he specializes in bariatric laparoscopic procedures, including the Lap-Band, at the St.Vincent program.
Lori A. Hurst, M.D.
Dr. Hurst graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2002, and completed her family medicine residency at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She has practiced family medicine as a primary care physician in Greenfield since 2005. Dr. Hurst has significant experience with bariatric medicine, having facilitated successful weight management workshops in her community since 2007. In addition to treating obesity, Dr. Hurst has special interests in women’s health and sports medicine.
John Huse, M.D., F.A.C.S.
An Indiana native, Dr. Huse is a graduate of Wabash College and Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Huse completed his general surgery residency at Methodist Hospital of Indiana. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Huse has performed bariatric surgery since 1978, and he performs both laparoscopic and open procedures.
Margaret Inman M.D., F.A.C.S.A Chicago native, Dr. Inman is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago, with a master's degree in biology, and also of Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Inman completed her general surgery residency at Methodist Hospital of Indiana. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Inman has performed bariatric surgery since 1997, and she specializes in bariatric laparoscopic procedures including the Gastric Band, Roux-en-y and duodenal switch.
Douglas J. Kaderabek, M.D. F.A.C.S.
A long-time resident of Indiana, Dr. Kaderabek is a graduate of Indiana University and Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Kaderabek completed his general surgery residency at Wayne State University Affiliated Hospitals. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Kaderabek has performed bariatric surgery since 1999, and is presently the only surgeon in the area who is performing the VBGB surgical procedure pioneered by Dr. R .F. Capella.
