Breast Care
Breast Cancer - Early Detection Can Save Lives
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, except for non-melanoma skin cancers. According to the American Cancer Society, the chance of developing invasive breast cancer at some time in a woman’s life is about 1 in 8 (13% of women). St.Vincent Carmel Hospital takes these numbers seriously and realizes the value of early detection and education.
Breast Health - Beyond Breast Cancer
While breast cancer is by far the most notable disease, there are numerous conditions and benign diseases that affect the breast and often require medical attention.
These include:
- Fibroadenoma
- Fibrocystic change (lumpy breast)
- Ductal papillomas
- Mammary duct ectasia
- Galactocele
Our expert physicians provide a full spectrum of clinical and support services, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and counseling.
