St.Vincent to Host a Grand Opening of Dr. Lira's New Practice

MITCHELL, IND – Lindsey Lira, MD, family medicine physician, has relocated to 2759 State Road 37, in Mitchell. St.Vincent Medical Group officials will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and tours of the new practice. Dr. Lira also practices obstetrics and delivers babies at St.Vincent Dunn Hospital.

Dr. Lira’s new office will be of significant service to Mitchell and surrounding communities, and is the first investment since the hospital’s integration with St.Vincent Health. The 3,000 square-foot building encompasses large exam rooms, spacious waiting areas and creates an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Starting September 6, Dr. Lira’s office will also be offering laboratory services for patients who need blood draws and urine collections for ordered lab work from any provider. The lab will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Dr. Lira earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed her residency at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend. She earned her undergraduate degree from Goshen College in Goshen, Ind., and then spent a semester in Costa Rica and Nicaragua where she learned fluent Spanish.

During her residency, Dr. Lira spent a month in Africa volunteering at a hospital in Cameroon. Her travel has inspired a love of Latin dance including salsa and merengue.

Dr. Lira is an active member of the Mitchell community where one of her daughters attends school. She attends Tulip Street Christian Church with her husband and family.
