Medical Education Program
St.Vincent Indianapolis provides a broad range of graduate, undergraduate and continuing education opportunities to physicians, residents and medical students through categorical training programs in:
- Internal medicine
- Family medicine
- Obstetrics/gynecology
- Pediatrics
- Transitional medicine
- Continuing medical education offerings
More than 100 interns and residents participate in these programs each year.
St.Vincent is affiliated with the Indiana University School of Medicine. Each year more than 300 IU medical students came to St.Vincent for patient-focused education.
The mission of St.Vincent to serve the poor is carried out by residents and interns who travel to developing countries to provide medical care to those most in need. Each year, a number of residents participate in an international medicine rotation and develop professionally and spiritually in the context of caring for those less fortunate.
