First Steps and Newborn Follow Up Clinic
First Steps
Indiana's First Steps is an early intervention system. St.Vincent provides rehabilitation services for this system, including:
- Audiology
- Speech and language pathology
- Occupational therapy
- Physical therapy
We are a family-centered program that serves children from birth to age 3 who have disabilities and/or are at risk for developmental delays.

Newborn Follow Up Clinic
As part of the Medical Genetics & Developmental Pediatrics Center, the newborn Follow-up clinic serves children, aged newborn to 5 years of age, who were born prematurely and required Neonatal Intensive Care due to prematurity, low-birth weight, or other medical conditions that placed them at risk for developmental difficulties.
Team
The newborn follow-up team includes:
- A neonatologist
- A pediatric nurse
- Occupational and physical therapists
- Speech-language pathologists
