Joe Roche joined the St.Vincent health ministry in 2000 as administrator and CEO of St.Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon. As the St.Vincent Health system grew, his responsibilities expanded to include St.Vincent Salem Hospital in Washington County and Dunn Memorial Hospital in Lawrence County.
Before coming to St.Vincent Health, Mr. Roche was executive director-Ambulatory Services for St. Vincent’s Hospital (not affiliated with St.Vincent Health System) in Birmingham, AL.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Work from Wayne State University, and master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Michigan, and in Business Administration from Oakland University.
Carl Risk started his healthcare career as a physical therapy assistant, and later served as an administrative resident and compensation analyst at Columbus Regional Hospital. Also, he was regional rehabilitation manager at American Senior Communities, where he managed operations in the rehabilitation departments of five facilities throughout Indiana. During his career, he has served on numerous community boards and committees. Mr. Risk has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Partners, Economic Opportunities 2015 Advisory Board and the Community Foundation Grants Committee.
As administrator of St.Vincent Jennings Hospital, Mr. Risk will be responsible for patient care operations and finances, physician relations, strategic planning, clinical program development, and work with community members and leaders throughout Jennings County. In addition, he will participate in St.Vincent Health southern Indiana regional operations efforts, which is inclusive of St.Vincent Salem Hospital in Salem, IN and St.Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford, IN.
Mr. Risk earned an AS in Physical Therapy and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Evansville. He completed his Master of Health Administration degree at Indiana University.
