Medical Director and Emergency Medicine Physician. St.Vincent Salem Hospital is pleased to announce that Emergency Medicine physician, John M. Reisert, DO, has been named the new Medical Director for the Emergency Department. Reisert is a member of the St.Vincent Salem Hospital active staff and will work in the emergency department on a full-time basis.
Reisert attended Indiana University in Bloomington. While there he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He completed his pre-medical training at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY and received his DO degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Reisert completed internships and residencies at Westview Hospital/Indiana University Medical Center and St.Vincent Hospital, both in Indianapolis. He is board certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in Emergency Medicine through the American Association of Physician Specialists.
Family Medicine physician, John F. Croasdell, MD, has joined the Active Medical Staff at St.Vincent Salem Hospital. Dr. Croasdell will work full time in the emergency room. Croasdell attended Olivet Nazarene College (now Olivet Nazarene University). While there he earned a B.S. in Zoology. He then earned his medical degree from Indiana University.
Croasdell continued his medical education in postdoctoral residency training in Family Medicine at the Naval Hospital Pensacola. While there, he was appointed as Chief Resident. His Navy service continued on the U.S. territory of Guam. In addition to his busy practice in the Family practice clinic he served as the Radiation/Decontamination Health Officer and Medical Civic Action Team Director. The latter afforded him the opportunity to supervise medical outreach programs to many islanders in Micronesia.
He maintains active credentials as a diplomat of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a board certified family physician by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a member of the Christian Medical Dental Association, and maintains active, ongoing continuing medical education with an emphasis on emergency care.
Dr. Croasdell, his wife Lori, son John David, daughter Jordyn, and son Josiah reside in Scottsburg, Indiana. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys bow hunting, hiking, skiing and biking.
Emergency Medicine physician Joel Nunley, MD has joined the medical staff at St.Vincent Salem Hospital. Dr. Nunley will practice full time in the Emergency department of the hospital. Nunley received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, and his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
Nunley then went on to complete a Family Medicine Residency and ER Fellowship training at the University of Oklahoma. He is a board certified family physician by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a member of the Christian Medical Dental Association, the Baptist Medical and Dental Fellowship and the Indiana State Medical Association, and maintains active, ongoing continuing medical education with an emphasis on emergency care.
Dr. Nunley resides in Scottsburg with his wife Peggy, and sons JJ and Benjamin.
Emergency Medicine physician Stephanie Johnson, MD has joined the medical staff at St.Vincent Salem Hospital. Dr. Johnson will practice part-time in the Emergency department of the hospital.
Dr. Johnson received her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at St.Francis Hospital & Health Centers.
Most recently, Dr. Johnson has worked at Scott Memorial Hospital and St.Catherine’s Regional Hospital in the Emergency Department.
She is a member of the American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians.
She resides in Seymour with her husband, Randy and two sons Joshua and Jordan. She is an active member of Central Christian Church in Seymour, and she and her family provide a foster home for cats/kittens through the Community Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) in Columbus, IN.
Internist, David Britt, MD treats patients in the Emergency department at St.Vincent Salem Hospital on a part-time basis. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association, Southern Medical Association, Kentucky Medical Association and the Jefferson County Medical Association.
Internist, Dr. Cao joined the St.Vincent Medical Group in June 2011. In addition to a full-time physician office practice, Dr. Cao treats patients in the Emergency department at St.Vincent Salem Hospital of a part-time basis. His office is located at 1002 N. Shelby St., Suite 1004, Salem, IN 47167.
Internist, L. Chiru, MD, treats patients in the Emergency Department on a part-time basis. Dr. Chiru also practices Internal Medicine full-time at his office on Jim Day Road. Dr. Chiru is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a graduate of Gunter Medical College in India. He completed his residency at the University of Louisville.
Internist and Gastroenterologist, Dr. Morgan has treated patients in Washington County for over 20 years. Morgan is affiliated with the St.Vincent Medical Group and treats patients in the St.Vincent Salem Hospital Emergency department on a part-time basis. His office is located at 104 Connie Ave., Ste. 108 in Salem.
Family Practice physician Terry Perkins, MD, treats patients in the Emergency Department at St.Vincent Salem Hospital on a part-time basis. In addition, he sees patients in the Campbellsburg Clinic full-time. Dr. Perkins received his medical degree from Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland and completed his residency at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. His office is located 25 W. First Street, Campbellsburg.
