Newborn Hospitalists

At St.Vincent Women’s Hospital our team of board-certified pediatricians, also known as newborn hospitalists, delivers high-quality, personalized care to newborns and their families, and provides support to primary care physicians. If a newborn needs more intensive care for any reason, our group of newborn hospitalists is already part of the larger St.Vincent neonatal team, which assures a seamless transition of care.

Our services in support of primary care physicians include:

• Seeing patients after delivery on a daily basis while hospitalized
• Accessibility and availability 24/7 for questions or concerns
• Educating parents and families on newborn care
• Faxing all patient information at discharge to the primary care physicians office
