It's a program operated by St.Vincent Health that brings comprehensive and customized healthcare services directly to your school, offering a unique approach to wellness, prevention and disease management for staff and students alike.

With the unique addition of an on-site health clinic, St.Vincent@Work provides preventive care, early detection of disease, chronic disease management and effective specialty referrals.

It also includes student-oriented wellness programs, athletic training and sports performance services, educational outreach, an employee assistance program, a school nurse program, and an opportunity for greater direct pricing on hospital-provided services.

With a focus on school health and 22 hospitals throughout Indiana, St.Vincent Health offers a combination of clinical excellence and compassionate care that's unique in the Indiana healthcare market. Here's how St.Vincent@Work puts it to work in your school:

A high-performing on-site clinic.

Our healthcare clinic can be conveniently located on site, providing care for staff members when and where it's needed. Our clinicians take a person-centered care approach, with the aim of developing a long-term plan for improved health and cost savings. Services include:

Wellness

It includes professional counseling services for employees and family members, on-site educational seminars, 24-hour crisis phone counseling, legal and financial services and more.

St.Vincent@Work extends to the students of your school, providing targeted wellness programs and services, and contributing to an overall healthier student culture. Here's how:

A school nursing program

We provide programs to support your school nursing program. This could include oversight from a medical director from Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent to an on-site school nurse. Programs are customized based on each school's particular needs.

Athletic training services

Our St.Vincent Sports Performance professional athletic trainers and therapists will work directly with your coaches and other athletic staff. They attend practices and games, provide first aid instruction to new coaches, conduct baseline concussion testing, maintain accurate records of student athletes, provide physician coverage for games and more.

Educational outreach

  • Project 18
    Project 18 is a program developed by Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent. This 18-week health and wellness curriculum was designed to address the major risk behaviors in elementary school students in the areas of nutrition, physical activity and holistic health.

    The curriculum is standards-based, addressing the performance indicators for all eight Indiana Health and Wellness standards.

  • Asthma Management Program
    As many as 7 million children in the United States have asthma. We provide an asthma educator in your school, which has proven to help reduce absenteeism due to uncontrolled asthma in children.

  • School Health and Wellness Program.
    We will assign a school health and wellness coordinator to your school to offer speakers and presentations on topics of interest, hands-on classroom activities and support school health fair events.

  • Child Abuse Prevention and Training Program
    The Child Protection Team at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent will be available 24/7 for consultation on child abuse issues that are of concern to your school.

  • L.I.F.E. for Kids Weight Management Program
    Families will get reduced fees for this medically-based, clinically-managed weight loss program for children aged 6-18.

    Support to help school systems become compliant with state regulations.
