Screening Exams

Vascular disease robs people of their quality of life every day. It is a progressive systemic condition that, left untreated, leads to disability and possibly even death.

It is important to know if you are at risk. Seeking treatment is the key to feeling better and being healthier.

Take a proactive approach to your future health! Get a screening today. Or you can schedule if for a more convenient time. Abnormal screening will be discussed with a vascular physician on the day they are completed. Call today to set up your screening exams.

Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound

To rule out an aneurysm in the major artery in the belly. Symptoms might include back pain and/or a pulsating mass in the abdominal region. A family member with this puts you at greater risk to have an aneurysm.

Ankle/Brachial Index (ABI)

To rule out peripheral vascular disease in the legs, which causes the symptoms of pain or cramping in the leg muscles during walking that subside with rest. Besides the limitations of walking, people with an abnormal ABI have a much greater risk for heart attack and stroke.

Carotid Ultrasound

To rule out blockages in the next arteries that could lead to a stroke if left untreated. Warning symptoms of stroke include: sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body, sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding, sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes, sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination and sudden, sever headache with no known cause.

1 screen: $40, 5 to 10 minutes

3 screens: $100, 15 to 20 minutes
